These days come back on spot by his declarations about Egypt and Turkey

Pollard’s remarks came during his participation in a podcast on the Hebrew-language network “Arutz Sheva,” where he said that Israel may find itself facing more complex challenges in confronting Ankara compared to Tehran.

He added: “I’m not sure we’ll face the Turks as easily as we faced the Iranians,” before continuing: “We have to prepare for the next war, which will probably be against Turkey and Egypt.”
Despite his talk about the possibility of new erupting confrontations, Pollard said that he “hopes” that Israel will not enter into a war with Turkey or Egypt, adding that “hope was the last devil to emerge from Pandora’s box,” indicating that betting on calm alone may not be enough to prevent escalation.

Observers know that the Israeli media is strictly subject to military censorship, and no statement or information is released without the approval of the relevant authorities.

There are elements within Israel seeking to incite fear and tension within the Israeli public by portraying a potential threat from Turkey or Egypt, the two strongest military powers in the region. This strategy of spreading fear and anxiety is distinctly Israeli, aimed at unifying a public opinion divided over domestic policies and issues such as Netanyahu’s corruption, his appointment of close associates to key positions, and, most recently, the appointment of his lawyer as the State Comptroller.

On the other hand, this aims to alleviate pressure on the Israeli government and its severely damaged international image due to its incitement of wars and perpetration of war crimes in Palestine, whether in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, or southern Lebanon. It also seeks to divert attention by portraying Israel as facing threats from powerful regional states, attempting to restore some credibility to the persistent, false claim that it is besieged by enemies who want to throw it into the sea—a claim that no one in the world believes anymore.
